Greybeard and Magoo captured in Art by Krazedone. Thank you Krazedone for coming into our lives and doing this for US!
My pride and my joy are my children. Sean and Ryan still live in Canada. I love them dearly, and miss them every day.
My Sister Brenda, isn't she cute!
Feeling stresed,
There are some awesom bubbles that just sorta relax you. It's cool!
you are paleturquoise #AFEEEE
Your dominant hues are green and blue. You're smart and you know it, and want to use your power to help people and relate to others. Even though you tend to battle with yourself, you solve other people's conflicts well.
Your saturation level is low - You stay out of stressful situations and advise others to do the same. You may not be the go-to person when something really needs done, but you know never to blow things out of proportion.
Your outlook on life is bright. You see good things in situations where others may not be able to, and it frustrates you to see them get down on everything.
Happy Saturday all be it late, I should be saying Happy Sunday! My son and his friend arrived here about noon....they were driving from Canada, but it seems like they flew! At any rate, I knew my Mom was with them and getting them here safely....long story about me and my pennies yet again! This evening as I was making the bed in the trailer for Ryan, there on the floor was a penny, 'heads' up staring at me. "thanks Mom" I said, she did her job and wanted me to not forget to put thanks where thanks was due. Now I know she is here with me for a time. Of course my son looked at me all 'weird' like, and I had to remind him of my penny story. He still thinks his Mommy is weird, but in a good way. Sunday we will go to the flea market, and then here we are having a family bbq. Mark is doing his smoked ribs again. I suspect he will be up at ODARK thirty getting them cooking. Now, one of my staff went to Atlanta too see Madonna in concert this evening. I get this phone call, and can hear this music...and then it hits me.....its Christine....she has called me from the concert.....she is holding her phone HIGH up in the air so I can hear Madonna sing....."respect yourslef".....so very very kewl! Thank you Christine....for sharing a bit of that with ME!!!!! time for bed now, tomorrow will be a long one. My youngest son leaves Canada on Friday evening for HERE!!! He will be with a friend, who has a car, and they are driving straight through. Expected to arrive here Saturday evening around dinner time, well that what HE says! We'll see. None the less, I will be here waiting on him. Won't sleep Friday night in anticipation, and will be looking out the window come Saturday late afternoon. Ryan doesn't have a cell phone, I hope Rob does...cause Mommy wants the number! We have a few projects going on here. I think my Markus has ADD...hahahaha....starts one project, leaves it for a time, starts another one, hahahahah...sorry Markus...now the shed, it is looking real good. Marks fall has put him behind a bit, but his two son's did a great deal of work on Sunday! Thanks Boys!!! Friday Bt is going to put the roofing on, and then it is the doors and the shelves need to go in so we can clean up the garage! Holy Crap Batman! you can't walk through the garage...what a mess.... Then we have the kitchen....I have emptyed out the one pantry and the shelves over the fridge. Mark has to tear down that area and the wall between the fridge and that pantry. I need to get boxes and paper to box up the pots n pans, and carefully store my dish ware, the OUT with the cabinets, and OUT with what is left of the floor thanks to Schatze. Now that we want her to tear up the rest of the floor...she won't! Go frigin figure eh!!! As our trailer is fully stocked with dishes and kitchen stuff, the only thing I will bring out there is the spices...as the cooking will be done in there. Thank goodness. Ok, like I said, I will try and pop in from time to time to say HI to my friends that have not forgotten me here. Be well all.

~~~~~~~ Now this quote caught my eye because of several reason, most of which are work related.
Is the execution of juvenile killers inhumane? I believe that if you have the ability to kill, and use that ability, no matter what your age, you should be treated and tried as a killer. Age has no boundries when it comes to killing another human, why then should it have boundries in dealing with such crimes in the courts. If the law is such it does not punish these young offenders justly, then what do we have to protect us and to hold firm that taking anothers life is against the law and subject to severe punishment.
Thought for the day: And as I sometimes luck out, here is a thought to ponder relating to my blog entry this evening.....
I can't remember just how old I was, or the year, but I have an Aunt in Canada that won $1 million green ones. Understand that my family did not see a penny of this, nor did we really expect to. I can remember them stopping into London to visit me briefly, on one of their trips to Wallaceburg. I was Advertising Manager for Woolco Dept. Store at the time. They came in and went shopping, for what I can't remember, but I can remember them trying to be all "we won the lottry". It did not make them any happier, if anything it only added to their sorry lives. We were not close to this part of the family, and only saw them if they went to see Memere when we did. I can remember they first lived in a very ugly orange house! hahaha Why do I go back to this time you ask???? This year I will be 52 years old, I was born in 1952, and this past week had my Mom and Dad not parted the year of their 40th anniversary, they would have been married 53 yrs. I was told this is supposed to be lucky. Maybe now that I have written about it I have squelched my luck factor. I also was told to write down the first numbers that come into my head, which we did right then and there. I just came back from buying a ticket for the drawing this evening for the Florida Lottery. Wish me luck.
If I could put time in a bottle, I'd save it and give some to you...... This song brings me back to a very dear friend of mine that passed away due to cancer of the brain. He was probably the closest friend I have ever had so far in my life. He thrived on teasing and pestering the crap out of me, as I did him. In years he could have been my father, but in his heart he was caught in his childhood. He was the center to which a small gourp gathered round, and some how my children and I were allowed to enter that circle. It is a time my oldest son will not forget. He was taken under this mans wing and treated like one of his own. My youngest was always being given ways to get out of doing house hold chores. I heard this song today, and it stopped me dead in my tracks. I taught myself how to play this on my keyboard, and will get to play it on my Moms' piano. I wonder if Donny and my Mom see one another in their travels.
Please pay this site a visit and see some pretty awesome looking art, displayed on some interesting birds of the Pensacola area.
What is “Pelicans in Paradise”? Modeled after community art ventures around the country, Pelicans in Paradise is a public art project developed by the Pensacola News Journal, showcasing the talents of local artists. Proceeds from the sale of these Pelicans will provide newspapers in our schools to improve student literacy and raise reading levels. This Pelican is named Emerald Coast, ARTIST: Pennington is an award-winning artist, illustrator and teacher. She has illustrated four pocket books for Peter Pauper Press and has taught many students about watercolor through her workshops and video, “Wet on Wet.” Her artwork is on display in Pensacola and Alabama. “I always try to do art that gives back to the community,’’ she said. How big are they? Reinforced Fiberglass, each standing just under 5 feet tall and 4 ½ feet wide. The Pelicans weigh approximately 70 pounds. Who decorates them? In late fall of 2003 and early 2004, more than 100 local, regional and national artists submitted samples of their work and proposals, colorfully displaying their ideas for their Pelicans. Artists were selected by each participating sponsor. Artists used various decoration materials (such as paint, glazes, and fiberglass additions) that would tolerate the Pensacola weather.
Where can I find them? The Pelican launch will be concentrated in a 5 block radius in downtown Pensacola. From Palafox in the west to Tarragona in the east, and Garden Street in the north to Zarragossa in the south. How long will they be here? The Pelicans will be on display in the Pensacola area through the end of 2004. Can I see the rest of the Flock online? Sure, starting Monday, July 5, we will profile a different Pelican in this space.
Ok, so this is NOT what you were more then likely expecting....sorry. This morning I am driving to work, listening to my favourite radio station, singing aloud to a Led Zepplin classic when out from the car in front me drops not one but TWO cups. This just aggrivates the crap out of me. I get to the stop light and I see someone toss a cigerette out the window which flies back hitting MY CAR WINDOW!!!! I am not singing anymore I am cursing these inconsiderate morons. I get to work only to find tossed beer bottles in the bush beside my parked car. There is plastic bags flying by me, chip bags laying on the grass, and tons of cigerette butts on the curb side. People who smoke are the dirtiest people I know. They just toss ther butts where ever with out any consideration for the rest of the world. Cars at the stop light open their doors and empty the over filled ash tray.....what the hell is up with that!!! People that chew gum just spit it out where ever, and the kids are not the only ones that do this. Walk along any mall and look down, what do you see, those black spots are GUM!!!! It's awful, and it is not necessary. Then I go to sit at the beach and relax to enjoy the surf. Would you believe there are idiots that leave trash on the beach. Oh there is the water bottle, the chip bag, the styrofoam cups, and there is cigerette butts everywhere. I hate this crap. I am a non smoker, have NEVER smoked a day in my entire life, I wish we could find a way to give these smokers an attitude adjustment. It is not necessary, it is extremely inconsiderate and it is not healthy to poor Mother Earth. On my way home the garbage I see along side of the road is a sign that visitors from afar don't wish to keep our beautiful Island clean. So I started out singing, and by the time I got to work I had gone through a couple of mood swings!! hahahahahah....I managed to still come out singing, no thanks to the dirt bags that litter! and expect everyone else to pick up after them.
First of all I have to thank my Daughter In Law, Jenny for this doll. I love this Jenny, thank you. She will be used on my Elley Ville Blog in the very near future.
Can you imagine putting on a job application, the reason for leaving your last job was due to the bosses wife! I had to read this and re read this, I just could not believe someone would actually put that down on a job application. It is up there with the things that stop and make you go....hummmmm. While on the subject of job applications, I gues this would bring me to the correct way of going FOR the application. I have seen all sorts of dress atire and it boggles my mind, no damn wonder some people can't make it past the application form, and remain unemployeed. 1)First of all, you have to dress at least like you have respect for you self, and if you can't muster that, try and dress to show respect for the establisment in which you are applying. NO short shorts, NO pants UP the butt crack, NO bleached out jeans, NO tube tops, get the idea... 2)Don't chew gum! Of any sort. 3)Know what the date is, and the name to which you are applying. 4)Do not bring girl friends, boy friends, Mommy or Daddy, do not bring your children, and do not bring your HUBBY!!! 5)Try and talk so others can understand you 6)This is a job application, if the business cant read your writing it is a waste of time. 7)don't take the application home, fill it out while there... 8)Be observant, see the name tag I am wearing....call me by name. 9)Ask some questions pertenant to the job applied for, 10)Ask when you can expect a call, a couple days, a week, ask for a time frame. And smile...shake a hand, and good luck. I could go on, however these are the biggest issues I have. It has never ceased to amaze me how people go job hunting. It just boggels my mind! And when you get the arrogant person that is trying to get YOUR job...hahahahahahhahahaha.....tell them it is filled!
As some of you are aware, Greybeard took a tumble on Saturday. He hurt his ego and his body!! hahahaha not sure which more really. Actually after spending some 5 hours at the Navy Hospitals Emerg. room I had no want to come home and continue cleaning or cooking. I did make jambalyai for dinner and it was GOOD :lol: Mark did not sleep well, even with all the meds the Dr. gave him. He was up cutting up his meat to make his beef jerky at 3 a.m. He would come to bed, get up for a bit, come to bed and get up. Every time he got into bed he groaned, and every time he got out he groaned. Every time he sat on the potty he groaned, ...or is that moaned....hahahahahahah he was in a great deal of pain not to mention discomfort. Poor guy!!! Sunday I cleaned house, did laundry, however I did not get all the cleaning done. I still have some dusting to do, and the bathrooms to finish up. Oh well, it's just the two of us, but sometimes it seems like there is at least 2 kids in this house and ME :!: :? Sunday night I had to get up and sleep in the spare room. Poor Mark was snoring so loud he woke me up. I did not have a good nights sleep Sunday night either. Today Mark was home as he is still having some trouble moving around. He stayed in bed for the better part of the day. With the meds he is on I should say so :!: :roll: No work for him tomorrow either, and we hope that he is able to at least get up off a chair with out too much sound affects. Remember Markus, 10 DEEP breaths every hour,,,,,,together.....through the mouth NOT the nose!!! This is Dr's orders, and we know how men listen to their Dr's. Thankfully our youngest son (via Marks first wife) will be home this coming weekend and he will help his Dad and I make up for lost time on the shed which Mark was working on when he tried to fly off the scafolding! Which by the way Mark tells me he tried to fly off a chicken coop when he was 6. He had a bed sheet and was thinking paraschute :roll: . mmmmmmmmm he scares me sometimes when he recalls his youth to me. LOL.... When I saw him on his knees, I knew he was not praying, and I got scared, as well as upset. Upset that he could have done extreme damage to himself. He had me so worried, and I am so relieved to know he is bruised only. Understand he did not want to go to the hospital, I had to insist, and call up our rules #3 and #4. hahahahahah thats for another post. Now it is time for Marks meds again, and for me to take something to ease the FMS ache in my body. Until next time.................................
Thought for the day: This is for my Greybeard after his LONG post the other day about ME and my sitcoms!! and our Cadilac of a bed.................
Down along the right colum, you will find the American Flag, put your mouse over it and click....Happy 4th, to a great Country! For a great display of Lady Liberty and the sky over New York this July 4th visit this Lady Liberty site . I have been busy cleaning house and doing laundry. Wow, what a great day to spend my second day off. As you all know yesterday was spent in the Emerg. room waiting on Mark. My Sister has me very worried, I am at a loss for words. She says she is re living her youth...hahahah...I thought 'men' only did that. Martha would not approve of this extra piece of NOSE jewellery. I am speechless really, I can't believe she went out and did this. It is so NOT like Brenda, however then again, in a way it is like her. I am thankfull I was not there with them, and I more then likely would be in agony as well. hahahaha.... Ok, now I must go and take care of my hubby. Click on the this Lady Liberty link , and enjoy some easy fireworks.
It has been a very long day for me. My ear has been acting up yet again, and I found work to be more effort then it was worth today. Hubby and I went to Cabinet Depot this evening, and oh boy I am so so excited. The guy was great! Our kitchen will be ordered on Wednesday after I bring in half the payment on Saturday. We had originally gone to Lowes, however it has been 4 weeks this Saturday, and we have not had a call or anything from them. We could have had our kitchen done by now had we gone to Cabinet Deopot first. They are installing everything too, and it is not costing us our first born child either!!!!! I am thrilled.... Mark and I will have to start tearing down the kitchen in two weeks time, and he will have to order the flooring so it will be here and ready to put down after the cabinets are done. At that time, the dogs will be locked outdoors in the garage which will have a little A/C unit installed for them. Hubby is doing a smashing job on the shed out back. It should be done for the most part this weekend. Ok, now I have to go and call my Sister to tell her about my kitchen.
